Story started out pretty good ... seems a lot of women are kidnapped from earth by ugly little grey men ... you never find out why (although you can guess it is because women are in short supply) and the story only deals with the women from one of the ships -- and these women are dumped on a prehistoric planet. Right after being dumped quite a few of the women are killed off by predators on the planet. The story had potential but I was really irritated with the h -- she left the group (more than once) to forage -- she was found by one of the men on the planet and was okay with hanging out with him (sometimes for days) had access to food, access to water (and having sex) while the other girls are hiding in the metal can they crashed landed in (you know they are scared out of their minds) and have no idea what happened to her. This happened more than once. I think it was the 3rd time she had come back and the girls response to her showing up is "we thought you were dead, again". She seemed ok with hanging with the guy she is now in love with (after seeing a couple of times) and leaving the others to fend for themselves. This irritated me and I had a hard time getting past the fact she really just left them on their own -- they had extremely traumatic events (kidnapping , deaths) and she just seemed to be off on this great adventure with this hot caveman who gave her great sex ... --- if there are any others in this story line - I definitely won't be reading them ...Product details

I enjoyed the wry humor in this novel, the world building and the characters. I would have liked to see more between the two main characters as far as relationship building is concerned, but I thought the author did a good job. The humor is appreciated, since it was not slapstick and added to the story. I look forward to the next in the series.
This is the first book I have read by Calista Skye. Wasn't sure what to expect. Sophia has an inner dialogue similar to my own. The movie character analogies are both accurate and hilarious. I figured out the hidden spaceship the first time Sophia says there is something familiar about the sacred mountain. When Jak'zan prepares to sacrifice himself for the women, I admit, I fell in love with him, too. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
What a story! This has six (surviving) women, each learning their strengths, admitting their weaknesses and making the best of an untenable situation. The main alien male we meet is strong, unique (even in his own tribe), respectful of the woman he recognizes as his mate. He takes her wishes/feelings into consideration in all that he does. What more could one wish for in a mate? It's all here. Plenty of humor, an extraordinary situation, tons of excitement and a delightful romance! It's a fantastic adventure - one that leaves me longing for more.
Omg this book was terrible.
It's like a lamer, more verbose version of Ruby Dixon's Ice Planet Barbarians... I mean, the storyline is practically the exact same set up, just in a rain forest planet. You can feel the desperate grasping of the writer to try and make it appear different enough, but not lose the very profitable and marketable Ruby IPB series. Seriously, skip this crappy book and just read Ruby's instead. The whole freaking story is like 1 week long. "I fell in love, but I've only know him 3 days and now I need long wordy deep internal dialogues and dramatic events with chapter pauses to prove my love!" AGHA! Just crap.
Excellent story. Can't wait for more. Primitive caveman storyline with several very strong earth females who, if they can live long enough on this deadly dinosaur-ridden planet, may find their own cavemen. Sophia is the first to get her hero, and what an amazing hero he is. Big, alpha, strong, sexy, but caring, thoughtful hero. Not an order or spanking in sight from this hero. Finally. Not sure where all the other romance writers are going but this one is certainly heading in the right direction.
Spoiler alert -sort of........The book itself was a silly but fun read. What the author did to the reader stunk! The story stops, it didn't end it just stopped. There was a note that directed you to read the epilogue. To get to that you have to skim through ALL of her other book synopses. Fine. That helped round off the story, but was still incomplete. There is a bonus epilogue you can obtain if you spend several minutes signing up for the author's free newsletter. Then you can download a chapter that does indeed wrap up this story (except that this is the first book in a new series.) I only paid $0.99 for the book but I feel like the ending was ruined so why chance that again on another of her stories?
